During this visit, we gather all the information needed for the procedure. This may include measurements of the jaws, digital scans of the face and bite. You will discuss with the prosthodontist and laboratory technician your smile desires so we can best customize the design of your case. Final arrangements are made for the day of the procedure. If scheduling permits, we can combine steps 1 and 2 into one visit.
This is the day where the transformation happens. Under IV sedation, we will place the necessary implants and begin the process of making your temporary restoration. You will leave this day with your new smile or return the next day for installation of your new teeth. We will then follow up with you during the next several weeks to ensure proper healing and functionality of your new smile.
A proper follow up and maintenance protocol is essential for long term success and health of your new implants and teeth. Your first maintenance visit is included in your treatment. We recommend a four month interval maintenance protocol during the first year followed by a six month interval thereafter.
